Abstract

This paper presents an analytical solution for the vibration response of an orthogonally beam stiffened isotropic/orthotropic plate with fully clamped boundary conditions using the double sine integral transform technique. The coupling beam-plate interface and the boundaries of the model are automatically defined in the integral transform. Effects of the ortho-tropic plate material on the plate vibration are compared with that of a corresponding orthogonally beam stiffened isotropic plate. It was found when the insertion of the orthogonally beam not significantly damage the original mode, but only plays as a local stiffness enhancement phenomenon, which makes it shown properties of orthotropic plates. Effects of the beam insertion on the orthotropic plate vibration are also studied.
