Research output: ThesisDoctoral Thesis

Abstract

The study aimed to analyse the 'policy practice' of practitioners in government secondary schools in Western Australia (WA) in relation to the Department of Education of Western Australia (DEWA)'s official 'policy texts' on the education of gifted and talented students. It offers a contribution to the void in literature on how practitioners have dealt with implementing officially prescribed policy for the education of gifted and talented students. Also, a number of implications derived from the study suggest areas for further research and for improving educational policy and practice in the education of gifted and talented students in the WA context.
