Abstract
The article aims at increasing awareness of stage directions in drama relating to the body, by taking as an example Yasmina Reza's dramatic works (eleven plays from 1987 to 2015). It brings about the role of stage directions in creating a theatre made of 'nerves'. In fact what transpires is that words become less and less capable of expressing the characters' emotions, and scenic indications have to take over.
