Abstract
The case describes how an organisation that was until five years previously a government owned major utility in one state has successfully transformed itself into a $2.5b. publicly listed company operating nationally and in one overseas country. It describes the strategy and planning processes and the role of the CEOs and leadership issues. It ends with the recognition of several issues that need addressing in order for the organisation to continue to develop and adapt to new challenges.
