This thesis is dedicated to extensive studies on the power generation incorporating the solar photovoltaic (PV) and associated application technologies. Firstly, the complete output characteristics of PV generation systems are proposed and analyzed. Secondly, a novel Maximum Power Point Capturing (MPPC) technique and an advanced incremental conductance MPPT technique are proposed to improve the working efficiency for PV generation systems. Thirdly, a novel integrated PV generation system with supercapacitors and the MPPC strategy is proposed to improve the stability for PV generation systems.
