Abstract

Cascaded multilevel inverter topologies have gained a lot of interest in industry due to their modularity and scalability for high power and medium voltage levels. A set of structured controllers are required to coordinate each cell for achieving a broad variety of objectives. This paper presents a comprehensive overview of different control architectures developed for monitoring and coordinating cascaded multilevel inverters across a diverse set of applications.
