Abstract

We apply PM to fire risk management: a multifaceted decision process confounded by complexity and uncertainty in the relationships between fire science, environmental impact and human behaviour. Guidance on the value for money of different fire risk reduction strategies surrounding Naseby, a small town and commercial forest in New Zealand is provided.
