Abstract

The H6 voltage-source inverter (H6-VSI) has been increasingly used in the power distribution systems due to its capacity of maintaining a constant common mode voltage amplitude. To simultaneously achieve excellent dynamic and steady-state responses, this paper proposes a novel cascaded repetitive controller for the LC-filtered H6-VSI. Compared to the conventional repetitive controller, the proposed cascaded repetitive controller for the LC-filtered H6-VSI shows superior performance in both transients and steady-states. Comparative studies of the conventional repetitive controller and the proposed method are presented with both linear and nonlinear loads. Simulation and experimental results confirm the validity of the proposed method.
