Abstract

The isolation Of a new diterpene acid 2 from the resin of a variety of Eremophila georgei is described. The structure of the acid was identified by chemical and spectroscopic methods and was shown to contain a C5-extended cedrene nucleus. The occurrence of cedrene and bisabolene isoprenologues from an unidentified Eremophila sp. is reported.
