Abstract

This thesis provides an understanding of how, historically, religious education was constructed as a subject for Anglicans in both Anglican and State schools in Western Australia from 1829 to 2015. The focus throughout is primarily on the ‘pre-active curriculum’, namely, what was intended and officially prescribed.
