Abstract
This thesis aims to create personality profiles based on several different types of criminal behaviour. Additionally, the thesis seeks to demonstrate that 1) these personality profiles would significantly differ from those of a normative population and 2) the personality profiles would significantly differ across the offending groups themselves. From the results, seven offender personality proflles were developed. These profiles demonstrated how the personalities of each offending group compared with the normative population at a factor and facet level. A consistent finding in the offender personality profiles was higher levels of Agreeableness and lower levels of Openness to Experience.
