Abstract

As globalisation continues, so does the growth of cross-border litigation in Australia. The body of principles relevant to cross-border litigation is thus increasingly important to the practice of law. In that context, in February 2018, the University of Sydney Law School will convene a conference on Commercial Issues in Private International Law. This article briefly considers some of the issues that will be discussed at the conference. There has been a number of significant developments in Australian private international law in recent years which warrant detailed consideration.
