Abstract

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, about two in every five international students enrolled in Australian higher education institutions were from mainland China. During the pandemic, Australian universities have struggled to retain and recruit international students. But there are five ways through which Australia can get ahead in attracting and retaining Chinese international students in the post-COVID world.
