Abstract
The structure and formation mechanism of microemulsion as well as its polymerization mechanism was summarized. Then a simple introduction was made on the polymerization of microemulsion, inverse microemulsion and bicontinuous microemulsion. The developments and applications of the microemulsion polymerization in drilling fluid were emphasized. In addition, the problems and prospects of microemulsion polymerization were discussed.
