Trainee Expansion Program - Trainee Travel Fund

The Trainee Travel Fund (TTF) aims to provide awardees with the opportunity for additional training to advance their academic or career development in the field of human milk and lactation, which otherwise could not be attained in an awardee’s current training environment.
Maheshwar was awarded the grant to explore the effect of non-exclusive colostrum feeding on infant's neurodevelopmental aspect at one year of age. He collaborated with Prof. Dr. med. Giancarlo Natalucci and his team at Larsson-Rosenquist Foundation Centre for Neurodevelopment, Growth and Nutrition of the Newborn (LRF NGN), University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland to understand the assessments done in first year of life including Bayley's scale for child development.
