This award enabled me to undertake a short-term research visit to the UK from 29 August to 20 September 2025, to collaborate with Professor Emma Moore (University of Sheffield) and Professor Julia Snell (University of Leeds). This visit allowed me to develop new analytical tools in interactional sociolinguistics and discourse analysis, areas in which both scholars are internationally recognised, particularly for their work on language and social inequality and challenging negative perceptions of non-standard varieties of English, especially among marginalised youth.
