International Competition for the Madrid Museum of Architecture. Our proposal for the extension of **Casa de la Arquitectura — Museum of Architecture of Madrid**, recently awarded **2nd Accésit** in the international competition organised by the Spanish Ministry of Housing.
The project does not seek to add another object to the plaza, but to construct a new urban condition.
A precise, continuous line runs parallel to Zuazo’s historic arcades. Elevated from the ground, it thickens and becomes architecture — shade, circulation, terrace, encounter.
The intervention restores the original perimeter of the complex, reconnecting north and south while preserving the permeability between Paseo de la Castellana and the gardens.
A museum extension that occupies less, connects more, and turns infrastructure into public space.
