Biography

Dr Ylva Olsen is a Research Development Officer primarily supporting researchers in the Health and Medical Sciences. She holds a PhD in Biology and, prior to her current role, worked as a researcher in Marine Biology for over a decade. She has worked and studied in many countries and has an excellent understanding of the needs of research-intensive academics across different academic settings.  

Ylva is passionate about teaching grant writing skills and helping researcers develop their proposal ideas. She regularly runs workshops and is available to custom-build materials to suit the needs of various groups. She has extensive knowledge of the funding landscape in Australia and can assist resarchers with their overall funding strategy as well as with applications for particular schemes.
