1. ABOUT MY RESEARCH

Research Abstract

My study focus on the cellular biological mechanisms involved in osteoclast, a bone-digesting cell which maintain skeletal bone mass and bone remodelling. Imbalances in osteoclast activity is associated with bone-wasting diseases like osteoporosis (low bone mass) and sclerosing (high bone mass) dysplasia such as osteopetrosis.  My study figure out the key regulative proteins and validate their functions in osteoclasts.

And I have research experience of Bio 3D-printing of dental materials in my master study.

My knowledge of cellular biology and working experience of Bio-3D-printing will be helpful to identify new biocompatible materials and establish new bone-compatible implants, which are necessary for Orthopedic and dental clinical applications. Besides, my professional biochemistry skills can optimize the existing design and production of these biomaterials.
