Personal profile


I obtained my Bachelor degree at the Dalian University of Technology, China in 1998 and then worked as engineer in industry. I achieved my Master and then PhD dgree in Geotechnical Engineering at Tianjin University in 2007. I joined the Centre for Offshore Foundation Systems in June 2007 as a research associate and then promopted to Assistant Professor in 2012 and Senior Research Fellow in 2015.

My research work is focusing on providing reliable and economic foundation solutions for offshore engineering developments. My research interests cover offshore geomechanics, advanced soil constitutive models, large deformation numerical method, centrifuge modelling and georisk analysis. My current research projects include (1) offshore mooring and anchoring system development, (2) offshore pipeline integrity and stability study, (3) suction caissons and skirted foundations development, and (4) georeisk analysis considering soil spatial variation.
