Personal profile

Biography

I am a current PhD student in psychology investigating the relationships between multi-tasking, prospective memory, and capacity.

Prior to the commencement of my PhD, I was an Early Career Researcher working on research and its media delivery on effective suicide prevention approaches for Indigenous peoples at the Centre of Best Practice in Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Suicide Prevention (Bilya Marlee School of Indigenous Studies). At the School of Psychological Science, I worked in both the Human Factors and Applied Cognition lab investigating multitasking and mental workload and the LIDL (Life, Individual Development, and Learning) lab investigating cerebral lateralisation and its relations to language processing and academic achievements using behavioural psychophysics and neuroimaging techniques such as functional transcranial Doppler ultrasound.

Our recent research project and its relevant publications, Determinants of long-term mental health outcomes after disasters and health emergencies: A systematic review and establishment of the Asia Pacific Disaster Mental Health Network, can be found on the World Health Organization Centre for Health Development (the "WHO Kobe Centre") website
