Personal profile
Biography
I am a biochemist and molecular biologist with expertise in mitochondrial metabolism, plant respiration, and mass spectrometry-based metabolomics. Since 2022, I have been a Research Associate at the ARC Centre of Excellence in Plant Energy Biology at The University of Western Australia, where I work with Prof Harvey Millar on mitochondrial function and the integration of metabolic pathways in plants. My research focuses on investigating mitochondrial components, and stress responses in plants using advanced mass spectrometry and molecular techniques.
My academic path began with a Bachelor in Biotechnology from the University of Queensland, followed by a role as a Research Officer for the Department of Science and Technology in Danang, where I supported funding assessment for science and innovation projects. In 2015, I commenced my PhD in Biochemistry at The University of Western Australia under the supervision of Prof Harvey Millar, focusing on the roles of mitochondrial pyruvate carriers in plant respiration. My PhD was supported by the prestigious Forrest Foundation Scholarship and Research Training Program.
