Biography
Whitney has over 10 years’ experience working in a variety of administrative and supervisory roles. A little over four years of which was spent on project work within the mining and engineering environment with BHP Billiton, Fluor and SKM Team Joint Venture(FASTJV), RIO Tinto, Calibre Global and SapuraClough. Some of Whitney’s key responsibilities were;
• Coordination of engineering deliverables for a large scale iron ore expansion project from detailed engineering phase to commissioning and close out.
• Supervision and training of Drawing Office Coordinators.
• Maintenance of deliverables progress and tracking information in a project specific database.
• Running reports and analysis of data within excel environment.
• Coordination of Engineering, procurement, and construction (EPCM), supplier and client drawing and document reviews.
• Issuing of drawings to the client and contractors.
• Maintaining control of quality in line with EPCM and client requirements.
• Dealing with international and interstate engineering teams.
• Creating engineering packages for issue to contractors.
• Preparing documents for client records and archiving.
• Provide general administrative support to the Drawing Office.
• Operate technical design and engineering software.
• Perform quality audits on vendor drawings.
• Examine drawings to verify completeness and accuracy of data.
• Ensuring Project documents comply with procedural requirements prior to processing into document control systems.

Roles and responsibilities
Whitney is currently working as an Administrative Officer in the MBA Programs Team within the UWA Business School. Whitney has worked across both the MBA and MBA Full Time Programs and she currently has a strong focus on the MBA Full Time Program support.
The MBA Programs Team provides support to both MBA Programs and their units within each of these programs; throughout Trimesters, Full Time Sessions, Summer and Winter Programs and non-standard teaching periods. A significant function of this team is to provide Academics with administrative support for the delivery of their MBA unit. The support provided ensures the professional delivery and consistency across all MBA units, enhancing the students experience in relation to their curriculum. We strive to create and facilitate a high level of client support to academics and students. Activities undertaken include: planning and coordination of administrative processes and systems such as Learning Management System, Unit Outlines, timetables and venues, examinations, final results and accreditation evidence collection and management; establishment, maintenance, improvement and monitoring of systems, policies and procedures; liaise with other Schools, Central Administration, internal and external stakeholders; and many other high level administrative activities for the MBA Programs.
