Dr. Wei Zhang is an early career teaching and research scholar, working in the Graduate School of Education at the University of Western Australia. Her doctoral research compares education policies on international education in both Australia and China, with a focus on global citizenship formation of international students. Wei has a sound track record of contributing to successful transnational programs by leveraging her expertise in Chinese education and educational administration.
Wei coordinates the Educational Leadership Unit: Leadership for Learning.
Wei Zhang's research interests primarily focus on contemporary understanding of the values of progressive education, education leadership, diversity, social justice and equity, and relationality. Current project includes co-authoring of Emerald Academic book series on Teacher Education in China (with C.Cunningham).
