Biography

Walter Witt is a geologist with over 50 years experience as a geologist in the field of ECONOMIC GEOLOGY. Walter has spent equal time in Industry roles, Government and Academia. After 12 years with the Geological Survey of Western Australia, he was appointed Principal Geologist with Western Australian gold producer and explorer, Sons of Gwalia Ltd. Following this, he formed the consulting entity, The Walter Witt Experience, serving clients in Australia, China and Africa. Since 2006, Walter has completed several projects with the Centre for Exploration Targeting (UWA), in Peru, Finland and Western Australia. Walter has published the results of his research and exploration activities in National and International journals. Whilst an adjunct at UWA, he has organised scientific workshops in support of the CET, supervised MSc students and contributed to the academic environment at the CET.
