Biography
Vladimir Todorović is an artist, researcher and educator living in the Whadjuk region, Australia, where he works as the chair of Fine Arts in the School of Design at UWA. He works with new technologies for immersive and generative storytelling. His art explores our relationship with the changing environment and our misuse of past, current and future technologies. His projects have won multiple awards and have been showcased at numerous festivals, exhibitions, museums and galleries including Annecy(62nd, 60th), Animafest Zagreb, 60th Ann Arbor FF, 25th Avanca, 18th Vienna Shorts, Visions du Reel (49th, 46th, 44th), IFFR (42nd, 40th and 39th), Cinema du Reel, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma (50th and 42nd), Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, BIFF, SGIFF, L’Alternativa, YIDFF, Siggraph, ISEA, Ars Electronica, Transmediale, Centre Pompidou, House of the World’s Cultures and Japan Media Art Festival.
He has organized workshops, symposiums and curated shows and was one of the initiators of ISEA2008, where he served as the chair of the Ludic Interfaces theme. In January 2014, he chaired and organized the Environmental Visions conference in Singapore.
Current projects
Looking for HDR students with interest in the following disciplines: Machine Learning and AI art, extended reality, game authoring (UE4, Unity), procedural modeling/animation/design, visual effects, code art and other forms of digital media.
