Personal profile

I am a second year PhD student at the University of Western Australia studying twentieth century Australian history. My research focus is on the conflict between the far Right and antifascist activists in the post war period. My study engages with global trends and the developing (and urgent) field of fascist and antifascist studies.

I have experience in the academy as a research assistant and occasional lecturer and tutor. In my work as a tutor I quickly developed a rapport with the students and enjoyed developing an engaging and challenging pedagogy. As a research assistant I helped produce literature reviews, engaged in archival research and aided in the qualitative research of a major international project.

I am developing an extensive publication record for an early career scholar. I have six scholarly publications and am coediting a book that will be published by Routledge later in 2021. I also have a wide range of experience in writing and publishing outside the academy for popular publications

I am an active and enthusiastic participant in the Australian history community. I am the Secretary of the Perth branch of the Australian Society for the Study of Labour History.

Prior to entering the academy I was employed as a social justice organiser and activist.
