Research interests include:
- Providing a scientific, quantitative basis for land and water management
- Assessment and prediction of controls on water quality in surface waters, soils, and groundwater
- Data interpretation and numerical modelling, with a particular focus on the coupling between geochemical, biological, and physical processes
- Quantifying the generation and fate of environmental acidity, e.g., mining-impacted landscapes, acid sulfate soils
- Teaching and communicating science and critical thinking: “Creating an army”
