Biography

Dr Umneea Khan completed her Ph D in Educational Psychology from UWA in 2011. The thesis topic, Establishing Differential Patterns of Delinquency, Reputational Orientations, Psychopathic like Traits and Aggression in Suspended and Non-Suspended Female Primary and High School Students, involved collecting data from a range of school settings in WA. Prior to this qualification, Umneea completed a Master of Special Education with Honours (2004) from UWA and a Master of Psychology with Honours (1995) from the University of the Punjab, Lahore Pakistan.

Umneea worked as Research Officer for Aspire UWA (2010 – 2011) and Project Officer for Aspire and Fairway (2011 – 2013). She developed the evaluation strategy for Aspire and Fairway which primarily involved creating, administering and analyzing surveys administered to teachers and students in a variety of settings. Findings of these surveys were published by Aspire UWA in their Annual Reports 2011 & 2012.

Currently, Umneea Khan manages the Fairway program at Student Support Services. In her role as Manager, she is responsible for the strategic planning and delivery of the program. She provides active ongoing support and advice to students including identifying & managing those at risk. She also directs and supervises the evaluation and research initiatives of the program.
