Tine Suartina is a researcher in Indonesia Institute of Sciences, Research Center for Society and Culture, and currently a Ph.D candidate at the University of Western Australia, School of Social Sciences with research focus ‘Legal Pluralism in Indonesia’. Her educational backgrounds include LL.M from Kobe University, Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies and BA in Economic Law from Faculty of Law, Padjadjaran University. Having interests in law issues, socio-legal studies and legal anthropology, her previous works related to adat communities in Indonesia (Baduy, Sedulur Sikep, and Orang Rimba), cultural heritage management in Banten Lama, and Indonesia’s Science, Technology and Society.
