Biography

Terena is a Librarian with over 20 years of experience in academic and medical libraries developing and delivering library services to academics, researchers, clinicians and students. 

At the University of Western Australia Library Terena works part-time as a Senior Librarian within the Research and Academic Engagement team providing specialised support to UWA researchers, academics and HDR students with regards to:

  • Systematic searching of the literature - database syntax
  • Systematic & scoping review methodologies
  • Research metrics & data management
  • UWA profile & adding publications to the UWA Repository
  • Unit Readings for Unit Coordinators
  • Supporting staff to develop students' research and information skills

Terena also works as a Research Librarian with the Western Australian Group for Evidence-Informed Healthcare Practice - a JBI Centre of Excellence based at the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine at Curtin University. She is an expert searcher, developing comprehensive search strategies to search the literature for Systematic & Scoping Reviews and Evidence Summaries for publication in the Joanna Briggs Institute JBI Evidence Synthesis journal.
