Personal profile

Biography

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Einstein-First project. The aim of this project is to modernise the current school science curriculum by introducing Einsteinian physics concepts. Along with my research colleagues, I am working on developing and testing the Einsteinian curriculum for primary and high school levels.

My PhD research involved the development of hands-on approaches to teach Einsteinian physics to school students. My research was focused on Year 9 students where I found that students had no difficulty in understanding the modern concepts of space, time, gravity, and light through hands-on activities. Interesting and unexpected results of my study were finding that girls’ attitudes improved after the Einsteinian physics lessons.
