Dr. TARIQ AZIZ is an Assistant Professor in Soil Science at University of Agriculture, Faisalabad at Depalpur (Okara). Recently he has been appointed as Adjunct Lecturer in School of Plant Biology, UWA.
He got his doctorate degree from Institute of Soil and Environmental Sciences, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF), Pakistan by availing Ph.D. merit scholarship from Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad. Besides a very active academic and professional career, he enjoyed an enthusiastic co-curricular life too. He remained President, The Agrarian Society, UAF, Executive member/Councilor, Soil Science Society of Pakistan, Member, German Society of Plant Nutrition and member Pakistan Association for the Advancement of Sciences. Due to his esteemed progress in his profession he was decorated with a 6 month Research Visit Scholarship by German Educational Exchange Program (DAAD) which he availed at Institute of Plant Nutrition, Justus Liebig University, Giessen, Germany (June 05 to October 05). Recently, he has got training from National Institute for Biology and Genetic Engineering (Fsd) for Recent Techniques in Plant Biotechnology (April, 2010). His name is on the accredited Ph.D. supervisors list formulated by HEC, Islamabad.

Roles and responsibilities

Associate Professor in University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. Dr Aziz is expert in SOIL FERTILITY and Plant Nutrition, with special emphasis on nutrient stresses.
