Biography

Tanya is the Program Manager at the National Centre for Asbestos Related Diseases (NCARD)

NCARD overview

With early origins dating back to the 1980’s, The National Centre for Asbestos Related Diseases (NCARD) was officially launched in 2006 at the University of Western Australia as a federally funded Centre for Research Excellence. NCARD is acknowledged as the largest research centre in the world to concentrate on the asbestos caused cancer mesothelioma and a ‘mecca’ for international researchers in the field.

We collaborate nationally and internationally to lead world class research that improves the health outcomes of people affected by dust diseases. The discoveries we have made mean that people now live longer following their diagnosis.
