Biography

Dr. Mingzhou Yu is a Lecturer in Marketing at UWA. His research focuses on marketing communications, branding, tourism, and cross-cultural consumer behavior. He earned his Ph.D. in Marketing from UWA in 2017. Before joining UWA as a Lecturer, Dr. Yu was an Assistant Professor at Shanghai University. Prior to his academic career, he gained significant industry experience in marketing and business strategy, serving as Sales and Marketing Director at some of China's largest real estate companies. His industry background also includes consulting roles, brand-building strategies, and market expansion efforts.

Dr. Yu is an active researcher with publications in top-tier journals such as the Journal of Product & Brand Management, International Journal of Advertising, and Computers in Human Behavior. His research has been recognized with competitive grants totaling over AUD 150,000, including funding from the National Ministry of Science and Technology, universities, and industry collaborations. In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Yu has received multiple awards, including the Best New Staff Award, the Excellence in Teaching Award, and the Silk Road Award for International Collaboration etc.
