Saranne is a Research Associate in the Cardiovascular Epidemiology Research Centre within the School of Population and Global Health. She is currently contributing to a project that is developing a method of surveillance for Chronic Coronary Disease in Australia.

Saranne completed her Honours at Deakin University, Victoria, where she applied qualitative research methods to explore the potential for Community Food Enterprises to address public health and environmental sustainability outcomes in Victoria and Western Australia. In addition to her work at UWA, she has contributed to and coordinated multiple research projects at Edith Cowan University, investigating topics such as food security in regional areas of Western Australia and measuring the sustainability of farms using tools, metrics, and frameworks.
