Sarah de Koning is the Database Manager for the UWA Centre for Rock Art Research + Management (CRAR+M). She is funded by the Rio Tinto Chair of Rock Art Studies MOU with The University of Western Australia. Sarah's background is in rock art research on Murujuga (The Dampier Archipelago, WA) where she undertook her Honours examining species in turtle engravings. Sarah currently manages the CRAR+M Heritage Management system that is the repository for all ongoing research projects by CRAR+M researchers and is now the largest repository of rock art data in Australia.

From 2015 - 2019, Sarah was the Database Officer on the Murujuga: Dynamics of the Dreaming ARC Linkage Project (LP140100393); this multidisciplinary project provided research support for the protection and understanding of the world's largest rock art galleries of Murujuga. As part of this project, Sarah was instrumental in developing the mobile recording forms used by CRAR+M researchers and students in the field.
