Roles and responsibilities
I coordinate the University's academic English program and support students in developing their research, writing, presentation and language skills, with a particular emphasis on working with students with English as a second or subsequent language. Together with Dr Meriel Griffiths I coordinate the Introductory Academic Program for Australia Award scholars.
I am the WA Division Assistant Secretary (General) of the National Tertiary Education Union, and I am a professional & general staff representative on Academic Board. I am also a poet, and my first collection straight lines was published in 2018 by Mulla Mulla Press.
