I am Sustainable Development Practitioner with experience in field based research and in areas of livelihoods, gender and climate change. I enjoy field based research and community interventions. I have worked with a diverse team to study communities affected by impacts of climate change. I was engaged in Watershed Management project of Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park (SNNP) contracted under Bagmati River Basin Improvement Project (BRBIP) funded by ADB. I was responsible especially in mobilising communities towards better managing watershed and solid waste for a clean and safe Bagmati holy river. Our team was instrumental in setting up Material Recovery Facilities inside Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park to transport the solid waste outside park to ensure that plastics wastes do not contaminate the river.
In a way, I seek to contribute to society getting engaged in a responsible entrepreneurship that has a glocal impact. My particular research interest lies in Green Economy Development, Sustainable Livelihoods, Natural resource economics & Gender amongst others.

Natural Resource management,
As a researcher, I want to examine the status of high value non-timber forest products having an export potential to ensure sustainable management of the resources. My thesis critically explores the economics and governance mechanism of the Caterpillar fungus, an endemic fungus in Tibetan plateau with special focus on Nepal’s Ranmamaikot village within Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve.
