Ron's research focuses on how organizations are conditioned by their external non-market environment, from two different perspectives. One, he examines how cross-cultural conditions dicate the strategic decisions employed by organizations, as well as their success rates. Two, he looks at how external conditions during the time of organizational founding continue to exhibit a long-lasting impact on future organizational decision making.
Ron has published in the Journal of Management Studies, and presented his work at various conferences, including the Academy of Management, the Strategic Management Society, The European Academy of Management and the Global Strategy & Emerging Markets Conference.
In 2019 Ron obtained his PhD in Business Strategy at the Rotterdam School of Management, department of Strategy & Entrepreneurship, under the supervision of Professor Pursey Heugens and Professor Taco Reus. Prior to his doctorate he obtained bachelor degrees in both Chemistry and Economics and Business Economics from the University of Utrecht in 2012. In addition, Ron holds a masters’ degree in Strategic Management and a research master's degree in Business, both granted by the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam.
