Roles and responsibilities
Rolee is Industry Engagement Manager for Health and Medical Sciences and is responsible for development, stewardship of relationship with industry, the not-for-profit, government and communities to support UWA’s goal in the leadership and co-ordination of business development and innovation across the University.
Biography
Rolee has over twenty years’ experience in the health and medical sector, having worked in start-ups, universities, research institutes and with angel investors. She started her career as a molecular biologist and for the last fifteen years has been working with researchers and entrepreneurs, assisting them to translate their research for the benefit of the community.
Rolee has co-founded biopharmaceutical company having taken it from seed funding to ASX listing with a market cap of $100M. Her experience covers managing intellectual property, applying for and obtaining grant funding/ tenders, preparing complex business plans/ cases, identifying market opportunities and leads, preparing market research reports, performing capital raising opportunities (via public and private routes), negotiating and closing deals worth multi-million dollars.
