Robert Wood was born in Boorloo (Perth), and, has a broad range of intellectual interests, including poetry and poetics, Australian and global literature, dialectics and theory, language games and lifestyle, tjabi and Ngarluma ngurra, and Suburbanism. He has held industry positions with creative arts bodies The School of Life, The Centre for Stories, and Australian Poetry; and, has edited for Overland, Cordite Poetry Review, and Peril. In 2017-2018, he was based at Columbia University as an Endeavour Research Fellow, and, was a Copyright Agency Emerging Critic with the Sydney Review of Books. Robert is the author of the books History and the Poet (Australian Scholarly Press, 2017), Concerning A Farm (Flying Islands Press, 2017) and Suburbanism (Australian Scholarly Press, 2019). His work has been published in the USA, UK, India, China, France, Scotland, Portugal, Nigeria, and Singapore; and, been translated into Mandarin, Spanish, Hindi, Bengali, and Marathi. Robert's archive is housed at the Kislak Special Collections Library at the University of Pennsylvania.
