Personal profile
Biography
Hi, my name is Riccardo Villa, and I am a PhD student at the University of Western Australia, mentored by Prof. Enrico Valdinoci and Prof. Serena Dipierro. I completed both a Bachelor’s (2022) and a Master’s (2024) degree in Mathematics at the University of Milan-Bicocca. I first joined UWA as a visiting student during my Master’s thesis work—a joint project between UniMiB and UWA—and have since returned to pursue my doctoral research in Australia.
Research interests
My research focuses on PDEs, geometric analysis, calculus of variations, minimal surfaces, nonlocal equations, free boundary problems, and applications.
