Biography
Pru Steinerts is a member of the Innovation and Industry Engagement team at UWA. She has extensive experience in developing strategic partnerships between industry, business and government to anticipate future skill needs, enable improved outcomes and an increased industry connection to education. Pru’s focus to enabling national and state priorities and translation of research for impact in the portfolios space, data, defence and radioastronomy.
Pru Steinerts has worked across academia, industry and government sectors and is passionate about improving student experience and facilitating industry and university partnerships to advance knowledge, solve problems and tackle emerging community issues.
Current projects
Having established a number of industry-based clusters that facilitate, co-ordinate and provide a front door for research expertise, short courses and collaborative opportunities, she is currently establishing research and industry engaged centres for space and data.
External positions: Deputy Chair UWA Defence and Security Committee, International Space Centre Board, International Microgrid Association Board, Australian Remote Operations for Space and Earth (AROSE) Steering Committee.
