Biography

Prerana is a Lecturer in Accounting at the UWA Business School. She is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience. 
Prerana’s outstanding contribution to student learning and experience is demonstrated through her ongoing development of teaching tools, and consistently high student ratings for both unit structure and design. She is also the recipient of the UWA Business School Excellence in Teaching award and several student nominations over the years. Prerana completed her PhD in 2018 and since then has led numerous research projects in the fields of audit and audit (accounting) education. Prerana’s research is supported by external funding and has been published in high quality refereed journals. Her excellence in research was recognised and she was awarded the UWA Business School Early Career Research award in 2021. Prerana is also involved in various service roles at the Business School.
