Biography

Pandian is a doctoral degree student in Ocean Graduate School (OGS) at the University of Western Australia (UWA). He is a coastal engineer with 10+ years of experience in technical consultancy for Ports and Harbours developments.Prior to joining UWA, Pandian worked as a Technical Director in BMT Consultants India. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering and a Master’s degree in Ocean Engineering.  He has a expertise in detailed design of coastal defence structures such as seawalls, breakwaters and groynes. His present research focusses on quantifying the flood defence capacity of submerged flexible coastal vegetation.
