Biography

Nyssa is an Associate Lecturer at UWA, where she teaches Intellectual Property Law in the Juris Doctor program and Creative Expression and the Law in the Law and Society program.  She is currently a PhD candidate in Law at UWA, focusing on the phenomenon of 'calling out' alleged intellectual property infringements on social media platforms, a contemporary method of dispute resolution that offers a quicker and more cost-effective alternative to traditional legal routes.

Nyssa has extensive teaching experience, having previously tutored and lectured various law and business law units at UWA and Curtin University. Her professional background includes working as a solicitor in Perth and Sydney.

Nyssa is passionate about engaging with students and supporting their academic journey, aiming to foster a deep understanding of intellectual property law and its practical applications.
