Nikki Schönfeldt is a Lecturer of Accounting at the University of Western Australia’s Business School and teaches financial accounting units across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. She is a Chartered Accountant with more than sixteen years’ experience in higher education. Nikki is also a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a 2021 recipient of a UWA Award for Excellence in Teaching. Nikki has been involved in the development of new teaching material and other teaching initiatives on various technology platforms and has successfully developed fully online units in accounting. Nikki’s research interests include the benefits of online teaching resources to support student learning and she incorporates different technologies in both her online and flipped classes. Nikki is currently busy with her PhD, developing an online adaptive learning resource to support student understanding of threshold concepts in financial accounting.
