Biography

Nick Letch is a member of the Management and Organisations Discipline Group at the UWA Business School where he teaches and researches Business Information Systems. Nick was appointed as the Deputy Dean and Head of School for the UWA Business School in September 2017. He was Director of Academic Programs for the Business School 2015-2017.
Nick’s research interests examine the interplay of social and technical aspects of information technology implementations. His PhD thesis investigated public sector information systems and in particular their support for citizen-administration relationships. He maintains an interest in IT in public administration and educational contexts and continues to research the development of emerging information infrastructures and their impacts. He has published and presented his research in a range of national and international forums and has also provided consultancy services to government and private sector organisations in areas including information systems management and governance, information systems evaluation and database design and development.
Nick chaired the UWA Business School’s Business Information Management Discipline group 2007-2009 and coordinated UWA’s postgraduate programs in Information Management 2000-2011. From 2012-2015 he served as the Director of Undergraduate Programs for the Business School.
Prior to entering academia Nick held positions in data operations and administration with NCR Australia and in general management in the retail sector.
