Biography

Enthusiastic and motivated clinician and academic with skills in lecturing and resource development. Natalie teaches in various units and is part of the Preclinical Skills Committee. In 2016, she was the recipient of the Australian College of Optometry Award for the Most Outstanding Graduate 2016 Bachelor of Vision Science/Master of Optometry for Deakin University. 

Teaching philosophy

Natalie's teaching philosophy centers around supporting the learning journey of each individual to actively engage with the curriculum, build confidence, and develop a strong foundational knowledge. By using videos and interactive resources, evidence based-materials, and linking theory and skills to practice, Natalie endeavours to foster a passion for learning and understanding. She prioritises creating a positive, supportive and energised space, where questions and critical thinking are encouraged.
